The V&A's Europe 1600–1815 galleries required Cat-A and Cat-B fit-out works across multiple phases between 2022 and 2024. All work was carried out outside public opening hours, in coordination with the museum's estate team and the Victoria & Albert's in-house conservation officers.
Heritage-compliant methods throughout: fixings reversible, no materials applied to listed surfaces without signed approval, vibration monitoring on adjacent display cases for all mechanical work. Tolerances were to museum grade — closer than standard construction, with no margin for rework in the context of adjacent irreplaceable objects.
This is the kind of project most contractors decline. We tendered, won, and delivered — on time, and with the estate team's written commendation at completion.
